Current Discounts on Selected EVs

Current Discounts on Selected EVs are now being published on electrek!

Please remember that the purpose of the list is to indicate where offers were found online at a particular moment in time. Please verify a discount is still advertised on the dealer's website prior to discussing with the dealer, and refer to the data on the dealer's website while negotiating with them.

Hi Vin, thanks for all your work on this site, and for putting together the new discounts page. I had called Capitol Chevrolet about the Spark EV last weekend, and they told me that contractually, it would be sold as "used" and therefore not eligible for state or federal incentives or tax rebates.

You are welcome, MKT! Thanks for the help, I removed Capitol Chevy's Spark EV discount from the tables. Kinda makes me wonder about Premier Chevy's huge discount on a 2014 Volt.

King VW is NOT discounting the sale price of the 2016 eGolf by over $13,000!!!

They are including the $7,500 tax credit in a lease, but showing it as a sale. Here's the email I received:

"The last 2016 eGolf SEL Premium i got MSRP $36,415.00 is on sale to lease for $23,277.00 including all rebates($7,500.00 federal tax credit ) VW

owner's loyalty ,partner,recent college grad.

Price does not include freight $820.00,processing $300.00,tax abnad tags good till march 31st,2017"

Really professional and honest, right? :|

They said for the actual sale price, not lease, you need to add the $7,500 back in.

Thanks Farley!!! I'll update the second table right now; the first table will be updated by Saturday. Thanks again for the help!!!

FYI I just dropped by Quirk Nissan in MA and the $12,015 Leaf discount is not real.

I both called them on the phone and email'ed them they positively confirmed it is correct and available however when I went to the showroom they said it was a website error and a training problem.

Based on that experience would go as far as to suggest that any price from Quirk Nissan or Chevy in Massachusetts is suspect.

Hans,
On Quirk's webpage it shows an MSRP for the Leaf as $33,505. They are using the following discounts: $1,000 military/college grad, Quirk discount of $2,515 and they are also including the federal credit of $7,500 and the MA state rebate of $2,500.

IMO they should not include the state and federal assistance in their advertised price.

Steve,

FWIW, they did update their website this week to delineate that they include the $7,500 and the MA state rebate of $2,500 in their price, however the prices they list still are not correct; for example this page says the Quirk Price on a 2017 Leaf S is $16,590:

http://www.quirknissan.com/new-nissan-specials/2017-nissan-leaf-s-133/

However the math on the discounts does not work:

MSRP $34,345
MILITARY/ COLLEGE GRAD $1,000
FED. CREDIT/ STATE REBATE $10,000
QUIRK DISCOUNT $2,855

That brings the price to $20490 -- not $16,590.

I gave them a call and they "could not explain it over the phone and I would need to come down".

The bottom line is that the prices Quirk lists in their websites is just plain wrong. I suggest removing them from the list.

PS: I really appreciate this website!

They are now including $4,000 NMAC cash. Well, at least they are for today. :-)

Hans and Steve- thanks for reporting your findings. I was thinking of excluding their discount info when I first found it because the info was vague - just one huge number with no breakdown into dealer discount, factory incentive, and government incentives. Based on your feedback I will remove them from the list until they provide more details along with the offer. I will include them and others on a separate list of "half-assed deals" so folks can at least be aware of a potential money saving deal and I can keep them on my radar in case they get their act together sometime in the future.

You rock vin and thank you for the feedback Steve P!

Hey Hans - I ended up keeping Quirk Nissan on the list since they are still itemizing their deal, as you noted. They still have that deceiving $17K total on the page; I'm hoping that our readers here will be able to ignore that and see the $6500 discount, which seems to be on par with discounts offered by other dealers on this list. I'll put a note at the top of this page to warn folks. Thanks!!!!

I live in Northern California, near Sacramento, and the Ford website shows the lease offer just announced on the Ford Focus electric, $2646 down and $149 per month available in my zip code. Offer is good through June.

Thanks Mike! I re-checked and the FFE offer is now a good deal less ($30/mo), but I didn't see the numbers you saw. Checked a random SF zip code (94016) and it matches the So Cal deal (i.e. 90007). Just for grins I checked the Energi models, looks like the C-Max Energi deal is slightly improved. I've updated the Factory Lease Offer info on the other post. Thanks again!!!!

A quick note to say the Burien Chevrolet in WA has the Bolt Premier for $622 off MSRP.

Thanks for the help. Chaz! I updated the lease deals list accordingly.

Concord is in northern California, not southern. Thanks for your work!

Oops! I corrected it. Thanks for the help, Jon!!!

Love my BMWi3 ReX. What I don't love is not getting the $2500 CA rebate. Just got word we didn't qualify because of income limitations. Sales guy never told us it was contingent on income, just we would get it after registration. Our complaints fell on deaf ears. Any advice?

Fyi Team VW's 2016 lease deals are long gone. They have no more 2016's in stock.

The King VW e-Golf Dlr Price and Ttl Discount are mixed up. Sadly King VW is not selling the e-Golf for under 10K$. :-(
